Your LinkStowmarket Volleyball Club was founded in 1976 and has been one of the top clubs in Suffolk ever since. The club competes in the National Cup and Plate, Eastern Region tournaments and Suffolk League and Cup during the indoor season, as well as various beach and grass tournaments in the summer.
From September until Easter, we train indoors, mainly at Stowupland High School. We also have a sister-club, Stingers, who enter female and mixed teams in various competitions. During the indoor season, they also train at Stowupland High School from 7-9pm on Tuesdays.
For the 2011-12 indoor season, Stowmarket VC's training will be split between Stowupland High School and Suffolk New College in Ipswich. Please see the Fixtures and Results page for times and dates. Training and match fees for the 2011-12 indoor season are £4 per session per player (£2 for under 18s).
When the evenings are light, and the weather is better, from mid-May until the end of August, both clubs join together and play on The Rec in Stowmarket on Tuesdays. These sessions are free to alll! We also play at various tournaments around the country.
Both clubs are always on the look-out for new players, so if you're interested in joining either, please contact Stow VC or contact Stingers.

Club information & safeguarding

Our club believes that all members of the volleyball community have responsibilities to help protect young people and adults at risk.

The club's codes of conduct, equity statement, safeguarding policy and anti-doping information are all contained in the club handbook along with information regarding reporting concerns. You can download this here: StowmarketVC-ClubHandbook-v4.pdf. The club's constitution is here.

The Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) is part of the NSPCC and is funded by Sport England, UK Sport and other organisations. They have great resources for parents of junior members, including this video.

Incident report form

We take care to operate as safely as possible but it's impossible to eliminate all risk. If an incident ever occurs at one of our sessions which may result in a claim on the insurance we have via our affiliation to Volleyball England we must report it via their incident report form.
