Feb 2021 - Bring Your Own Grown-up!

Thanks to the support of Mid Suffolk District Council, Community Action Suffolk, the Ron Ames Memorial Sports Fund, Volleyball England, Janet Inman at the Volleyball England Foundation, Stowupland High School and Becky Herbert at Stowupland Sports Centre, Nick Shaffery, Alex Porter and Alex Chinnery, we have upgraded the equipment, started trying it out are now ready to launch our Bring Your Own Grown-Up sessions at Stowupland Sports Centre on Wednesdays from 5:50-7:10pm! The sessions are aimed at boys and girls aged 7 to 11 and their parents / uncles / aunties / grandparents etc. No experience is necessary.

The sessions are based on Volleyball England's Volley 2s programme. Volley2s takes young people from an easy to play catch and throw game through four developmental stages (Red, Amber, Green, Gold) to play 2v2 volleyball using new skills at each stage such as the serve, dig, set, spike, and block. New movement, tactical, problem solving and social skills are also introduced at each stage.
